V for Vandetta (of Very Vintage?)

Hello!
Here is some last news, nothing very exciting I’m afraid, we’re in the working part of our trip. Can’t believe it’s already been a month we are working in New Zealand! I still work in a Lush store and I love it, but with all the discounts, it’s not easy to save up some money… I’ve got very soft skin now, though! Mat enjoys being a postie on a scooter, even at 5 degrees and under the rain (he’s the one with the orange jacket for those of you who didn’t notice him on the photo yet) Actually, I think he’s enjoying it a bit too much, he has a good time jumping on the street’s bumps and he already destroyed a few gardens… The hardest part though, is to resist opening the boxes…

We decided no to be originals and to do exactly what every good backpacker does when he visits New Zealand, which is buying an old cheap van to travel around the country. So we bought a Mitsubishi Delica 1981, that we named Vandetta. 1981, hehehe, I know… We plan our first visit this week-end, we’ll make sure to charge our mobile’s batteries before leaving…

We are still not sure about Christchurch, there is some cute parts but on the whole it’s pretty ordinary. And Oh my God, we miss so much UK for the shopping… Anyway, we’ll send some photos soon. We are quite happy with the fact that there is a lot of Asian students in Christchurch, we loooooove Thai and Chinese food! But it’s less handy when it comes to buy an alarm clock with the instructions in Japanese only. We are now stuck with an alarm clock that rings a few times a day without any explanations???

Hey we’ll try to write more often, we’ll probably have some stories about us stuck in the middle of nowhere soon, so keep visiting us!!! And have a nice and warm summer, lucky you!
